I know it's not even close to canon in TOS, but I really loved their chemistry in the movie even if it was for a short while. They're both experts in their fields and professional (but sassy), not to mention they both almost died together. I feel like they could have something really awesome, even if it's just an epic friendship.

Also I love how somehow their pairings names can be CarBones or McCarol or even McMarcus? I WILL SHIP IT FOREVER OKAY. (How do I have so many ships in this fandom.)
